tapioca express
yesterday when i was at tapioca express, there was a lady there with her two kids =) and as i was figuring out what to get, she starts to talk to me from her table...and she asks me if i was from taiwan =) and we were talking...and she's like, yeah you look like you're from taiwan. so anyway, i get my drink and she keeps talking to me which was really cool, cuz i wanted to talk to her but i didn't wanna bother her when she was with her kids...but yeah she asked me like where i was born, where i was from, if i knew mandarin and i told her i was taking chinese right now...we had a nice talk...and she told me she was from sacramento. her kids are really cute by the way =) but yeah, it was just nice cuz it's not often asian ladies stop to talk to me =) cuz they keep to themselves alot of times...alot of times they're not that open...but this was just really cool how she just makes the effort to chat with me...really sweet and she was like, it was nice to meet you and everything...she totally reminds me of the ladies at my church here in Davis...a typical family from DCCC =) so yeah, it was nice to run into her and be able to talk when you're just doing something simple like getting tapioca =)
