I have no idea where they think middle school age kids get money if not from parents and how the heck do they come up with the numbers they do? On top of that, I must say the sexualization of younger and younger girls bothers me a great deal. And I second your worry about parents who are unable to tell their children 'no'. My brat is very spoiled, but he knows where the lines are and has manners, ect. What makes it so hard for other parents to raise their kids with a sense of decency and the knowledge of what is proper public/private behaviour?

*slowly steps back from soapbox* whew, that was close. Sorry bout that, didn't meant to start to rant. Parenting skills and the lack thereof and the damage it does to society is a pet peeve of mine.

I'd like to point out that I'm using a children's fictional animated character as my journal's standard 'Sexy' icon and a very sexy come hither it is *g* (ok, yes, sex in childrens programming is bad, but I stepped away from the soapbox *whines*) :D
