*climbs on soap box*

I'm just adding my personal "WTF" speech to the choir of people being outraged about this:

In Koblenz a teacher has been found "not guilty" of the "sexual abuse of a ward" because he was no regular teacher of hers and not responsible for grading her. (http://www.welt.de/vermischtes/weltgeschehen/article13812254/Lehrer-nach-Sex-mit-Schuelerin-freigesprochen.html)

a) Why hasn't he been found guilty for general sexual abuse, at least?

b) All the teachers at my school were TEACHERS: persons we had to respect and obey, regardless if we ever had them in class. This IS a special position that he used to approach the girl and it's probable that children could escape a stranger's advances but not a teacher's.

c) My beef with every single newspaper report: They speak of "teacher had sex with student". That girl was 14 years old. He might not have forced himself on her with a knife but with words and promises - this still makes it sexual abuse and not sex. Sex is between consenting parties. You can't consent with 14.

But apparently it's legal now to rape a child - they really had it coming. Those students, they come to school every day and look at you, those little sluts, right? Just don't touch those you actually have in class, then you're golden.
