I usually like being a woman, but there is one thing about being a woman I absolutely hate.
Women are fucking wusses who hate conflict.
Nothing demonstrates this fact to me more than at work on a daily basis. Rather than confront the person whose habits annoy us, we run off to another office and bitch about it. Is it that hard to say, “Person X, your stamping is really loud. Could you quiet it down some?” Is Person X really going to hate us and hold a grudge for the rest of her natural life if you stick up for yourself?
Now there are those people who go the complete opposite and are total douchebags. You don’t need to go to the complete opposite extreme and be a total bitch - just assertive.
Men have it right. The best fight I ever got into was with one of my guy friends. One blow up, an apology, and then it was like it never happened. It was awesome and very liberating. I wish we women could be more like men in this respect where we let things roll off our backs more.
As the expression says, “Build a bridge and get over it!”
