great expectations are for the
naive. [babies new and pink
and smiling]. they are
sluts. they use you up and never
deliver. they are gold diggers
to the bone. they wear plastic eyelashes and
wonder bras. and much like a seductress,
they bruise and deceive. and when you are a
star at its prime, ready to fuse carbon,
you recognize you have no tenacity and
become faint and lose all color.
that color is what
keeps this going and
even if it keeps growing,
inevitably it will
explode.
