My first prayer in chinese

Oct 15, 2006 23:41

Ni hao! (Hello in chinese)

Today I did my first "in public" chinese prayer. It was the closing prayer for the book study.
I had already prepared an opening prayer "just in case" and 20 mins before it was over, they asked me if I could do the closing instead.

We have a sheet of phrases typically used in prayers. So I had to redo, talk in pass tense instead of future (with regards to the meeting).

Overall it came up ok. Some of the chinese people told me it came up ok. I really put a lot of effort in making the tones right. I was so praying to do it right.

I want to update this thing with my progress (or lack of?) in the chinese class, but I'm just so busy (see previous "locked" post).

One of these days I will update!

Ding ding ding ding !!! Oh oh oh! I almost forgot! We are now the official Chinese Group of the Tampa area :D yay!
What that means is that we are now entitle to receive help from the society, like maybe a graduate from ministerial training school or a missionary, you know, something like that. Or maybe not. Also we will be starting a second meeting, or at least "half" of one (I heard we might be doing the B school in chinese during the regular Theocratic School)
