Also seen punks asking for money with a sign "Obama Wants Change And We Need It!" .
Union Square was all excitement and euphoria - I don't think any president-elect ever caused such excitement (I would actually like to know whether this is true) . Neither Giants nor Yankees come even close . What came as a pleasant surprise was when a gigantic American flag was stretched over the crowd, when the crowd broke into American anthem, and chants "USA-USA!!!" . I may be overly idealistic, but it seems like loving your country is not totally out of fashion among East Village population .
Otherwise, yet again, it is Lesser of Evil . But, contrary to previous 2 elections, this time I did not vote.
