Happiness meme: Day 2, 3 and 4
I know, it's a complete shock that I fail at posting every day, poster child as I am for the art of regularly updating one's LJ. But better late than never, right?
Day 2
This day was set aside for cleaning, so it shouldn't have been a good day, but after lunch, bud came by and helped. She vaccumed and mopped my floors. ♥ That is happiness, people.
I fed her dinner (bbq, the first batch of the year, gorgeously sunny day) and then we watched OC. *happy sigh*
Before the end of the day, I also got an awesome (pre)bday gift from Suz! \o/
Day 3
I continued cleaning on my own, doing the stuff that was left. I, ahem, may have before and after piccies.

I had shots of the kitchen too, but I made cakes in there today, so it's not in perfect order anymore, thus I cannot share. *perfectionist*
Oh yeah, the happiness part! While having a shiny sparkly apartment is certainly nice, the happiness came around midnight. First I got a text from bud, with a hot picture of Ryan and a happy little tune. I was extremely pleased (may have bounced a little), and amused that the file name when I saved the pic was 'hottie'. Then I got this from Suz, and it made me bounce and squeak a lot. Then, Suz agreed to watch another OC ep with me, even though we'd already seen two earlier that evening. \o/
Day 4
Today started with me snoozing in bed, then starting with the cakes. My bro and my dad have diabetes issues, so I made a low-sugar cake for them, and another for the rest of us. Around two o'clock my parents, sis and her fam and my bro showed up and we had cake and watched the nieces be adorable.
When they first got here, Felicia was very wide-eyed, partly because she hadn't seen bro since Christmas, and partly, I think, coz she was in a new place. So, trying to make her feel at home, I gave her my huge, fluffy teddy (seen in the pics above). She put it aside, though, and I was all 'huh'.
Bro-in-law: She wants to go to you.
Me: She does? *reaches out arms* You wanna come here?
Felicia: *stretches out arms*
Me: *lifting her while undoubtedly grinning like a loon* Well, this isn't heartmeltingly adorable or anything.
Everyone liked the cakes, and Felicia proceeded to blow her nose in my table top. (It was small! She had a cold! She's so good for blowing her nose! I couldn't stop laughing :D).
Oh yeah! I got a chest of drawers, a rose in a pot and a gift card for a game store so I can go buy Guitar Hero Metallica when it comes out!
They left, I had dinner and then bud showed up and gave me the first season of Scrubs, a PRETTY necklace and dessert spoons! \o/ We started watching OC, and around the second episode, my cellphone started ringing. Thinking it weird, since I was going to work in the morning as it was, and they're normally the only ones to call my cell, I see the caller ID and it's suzvoy's mom! They were out at dinner before going to see Wolverine, so they sang to me and wished me a happy birthday and HEE!
Bud and I continued watching OC and I got one more call from my sis-in-law before we finished for the night and here we are. A really really good day, one of the best birthdays I've had in some years.
