As is tradition (that is, except for those times when I'm too lazy), I've summed up my year because I'm horrible at remembering things in regards as to when they happened, so it's so nice to have a reminder post.
My 2007
January In January, I sucked by not finishing a bunch of request ficlets (sorry!). There's still one or two that I kind of wanna finish, the first having 4000 something words written, and the other one a fun premise, but we'll see how it works out.
Other than that, I mostly spent January working, being on trainee, hyperventilating about Malta and having thinky thoughts about SGA.
February This month, I went to Malta, which was terrifying and...terrifying. It all turned out fine in the end, but man, it was tense to begin with. A room mate who didn't speak, more people from another country about to show up in a few weeks, everything so very DIFFERENT from home. Even now, knowing Malta and the people and feeling secure enough that I would go back and know how things work, my heart starts pounding thinking back on how it felt in the beginning.
I had wacky Malta adventures and started working at Pensieri with Romina.
I posted my
annual V-day post and I started writing on
Good Guys Don't Always Wear White.
March The posts in March are mostly locked ones with snippets from before mentioned fic, Good Guys, but I watched a lot of movies (the cinema was really cheap) and celebrated the fact that I reached the halfway mark of the time spent on Malta.
April April was the month of African guys without any comprehension of the word "personal space" and Suz. MY SUZ CAME TO VISIT ME ON MALTA! *happy* When she and her mom was there was prolly the most touristy I'd been during my time there (her Mom was all "how can you have been here so long and not seen all these things?!". I was working! For a while there I only had one day off during the weeks!).
May May was so much good and so much bad. Malta was starting to get really hot, and I was starting to feel decidedly wilted. Not to mention the fact that I'd been dying to go home the past two months and the closer we got to the date where we were supposed to go home, the more intense the feelings got.
And then the airline went on a strike. On the day we were supposed to go home.
It only took five days to sort out, but it felt SO LONG because we didn't know how long it would take. The travel agency was talking about weeks, and we were just all so fed up and just wanted to go home.
The only good thing the strike brought was
this comment from
distant_cord.
On the last of May, I was finally home, and it was GLORIOUS.
June June started with me posting my one and only
NCIS fic, which also happened to be unfinished. Reading it as a series of snippets, though, I'm really pleased with it.
I also discovered the joy that is the
Strachey Mystery movies.
July The new Strachey obsession led to me and my fellow fangirl
01100100 starting a Strachey comm called
nick_n_nora.
I
mainlined the first season of Heroes, which was AWESOME, which gave me
dreams of Milo, without pants.
I also
saw Suz for the SECOND time that year, as she came to visit me, in Sweden this time. \o/
We watched some Scarecrow and Mrs King.
August August started off with some pre-season SGA wank of the character hating kind, but let's not linger on that as I don't hate any characters. Sadly, LJ seemed to follow the trend of the month by acting like wankers, and everyone packed up and either left LJ or made backup journals to be on the safe side.
I became an aunt (on my sister's side) for the first time, to a little girl named Felicia (who isn't so little anymore; at 4.5 months, she's the size of a 6 month baby. She is extremely adorable, though).
I FINALLY posted the fic I'd been working on for six months,
Good Guys Don't Always Wear White.
September kylielee1000 wrote me some
comment fic, Shep/Michael, for Good Guys.
It finally hit me that
the dog I loved was dead.
Made a
teamy SGA vid for bud's bday.
October In October I uploaded a bunch of different eps for different shows, and mainlined Jake 2.0 (WHYYYYYYY DID IT GET CANCELLED???).
I also discovered that Peter DeLuise is looking
mighty fine.
November Made a vid,
Girlfriend, that was both a lot of fun and frustrating enough to make me cry (software troubles from HELL).
Found out that one of my vids got
plagiarized.
December I was feeling pretty bleh creatively in December, so I didn't post a lot, but I did make a vid together with
suzvoy,
The Tenth Year of Stargate.
Wow, I really didn't post a lot last year.
The fic, 2007
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?: Less. So much less. :(
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2007?: Teyla/Michael, more because I didn't see any workable way of writing them than not seeing the pairing.
What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?: Well, I only wrote one story, so that's not hard. Had I written more, though, I suspect that it would still have been my favorite because of the level of self-indulgence while writing it.
Did you take any writing risks this year?: No. I don't think I understand what writing risks are. I write whatever I feel like, there's nothing risky about it.
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?: To write more than one fic, omg.
My Favorite Story: Good Guys Don't Always Wear White.
My Best Story: See above.
Story Most Underappreciated by the Universe: While I only wrote one fic, I felt that it got a lovely response.
Most fun: See Above.
Most disappointing: All the fics that I started on but didn't finish, all the ideas I came up with that went nowhere.
Most sexy: Good Guys.
Story With a Single Sexy Moment: Good Guys, every moment Shep was in a scene.
Hardest to Write: GOOD GUYS, OMG.
Most Unintentionally Telling: See above.

And not a lot creatively either. May 2008 make me explode in productivity.
