Grinning, Hercules looked down at him. "Believe it or not, you get used to it, but it does take awhile. When we were your age, I was dragging Iolaus kicking and screaming into a cave to fight his first monster."
"The screaming didn't start until after we found out it could breathe fire," Iolaus corrected. "You know, that's a line you never hear in the bards' version of the story: And then the great Hercules said, 'Wow, I didn't know it could do that.'"
Xander grinned. "That must have been comforting."
"You have no idea," Iolaus replied. "There was this time--"
"That's not necessary," Hercules cut in, sitting down next to Iolaus. "Why don't you tell them about the time you got hit by lightning instead?"
"I was never hit by lightning." Iolaus told Buffy with an engaging smile, "He's making that up."
Buffy blinked and realized she'd been too distracted by the image of Hercules fighting without pants to follow the conversation. "Sorry. What?"
Don't worry, this is probably the last one for today as class is starting in half an hour.
Probably...
