Garters and Stockinettes

Last night was my first knitting class. It was so much fun!! The class is being taught by a British lady and her voice is so lovely and cheerful. It really makes the class more enjoyable. :D

It turned out I didn't need anything for the class. The instructor was supplying everything.

As for the knitting itself... it was HARD!! D8 Nowhere near as easy as crochet. (_ _); Ms. Linda was very nice and walked me through the steps several times. She kept trying to demonstrate it for me and even though she thought she was going slow... it was so fast! T_T By the end of the class I almost had it. She let me take home a pair of needles, a roll of yarn and a knitting magazine with lots of fashionable stuff in it to, "Become Inspired!!" Haha... and also to practice.

Today was much easier. I even looked up patterns on the internet and tried some knew things. My fingers didn't want to cramp up as bad either. It took a lot of getting used to holding the yard in my right hand instead of my left (with crochet).

One of my favorite forums is debating shutting down after their second year anniversary (in a couple of days) because of a lack of participation. To hopefully gain some participation they are holding different contests. One of them was to choose a group of mods (3) and based solely on a personality questionnaire they took you have to draw them in chibi form. So! Since I've never drawn chibi style before I took the opportunity to 'participate' and to learn.

The only rule was that it had to be digital format and not any form of traditional media... Which sucked for me cause I don't have a tablet anymore!!! D: (curse your dead soul you dumb cat!!!)

Oh well, that's enough of an update for now.
