Failed
The weather here has been awful all year long. We had a late freeze this year and it killed all the fruit crops in the state. Then we went through a drought. I think it didn't rain for almost a month and a half. Cities were starting to put water ristrictions on communities it was so bad. Well, for the last week, we have had rain every single day. Some are awful thunderstorms with high winds and lots of lightening. =/
Yesterday my mother was in the hospital for some surgery (she's okay). They were doing construction at the hospital and I had to park far away from the front entrance when I went to visit her after work. When I left the hospital, a storm had blown over and was pouring buckets. I was soaked to my undergarments. The whole way home I shivered because I couldn't turn the heat on. (it would fog up the windows)
My mother was picked up from the hospital by my grandmother and is staying with her until I get home. I'm bringing her to her home and I'm staying with her overnight because she can't stay alone for the first 24 hours after her discharge from the hospital. My brother is supposedly going to come over and stay at mom's as well. It will be the first time in many, many years that both my mom's kids slept at 'home'.
I'm going to cook dinner at mom's since she can't stand up to cook right now. I'm thinking I should cook something new and fun.
In addition to having to stop and pick up things for tonight's dinner, I must also go by the grocery store and purchase a new goldfish. I had to seperate Captain Jack Sparrow (Jack) and Little Fishy. Little fishy was abusing Jack and now Jack is all lonely and depressed. He just sits on the aquarium rocks all day. It almost breaks my heart. :( I'll post pictures of them soon. I love my fishies. I have 3 tanks now. Haha.
Current Pet Count: 2 goldfish (soon to be 3), 1 pleco, 10 wild minnows, 1 rabbit, 1 cat
Saturday, I have to take Damian to his best friend's birthday party. He's upset that next year, his friend won't be going to the same school as him. They both attended the same school since kindergarten and next year in 5th grade, they are both being transfered to different schools... however, they will only spend 1 year apart and they will both be attending the same middle school in 6th grade. I'm going to try and get the two kids to get gmail so they can send each other emails and talk on gchat so they can keep in touch. Who knows.
All in all I won't be home until tomorrow evening. I'm going to be slap worn out. *yawn* Even though I already am.
