Fleeting Projects is pleased to announce for your anticipatory pleasure that the fabled creators and performers of The League of S.T.E.A.M. will be hosting our first show for the year on January 17th, 2010.
Come join us as The League of S.T.E.A.M, famed inventors and paranormal experts, host an unforgetable evening of steam-powered thrills, ectoplasmic oddities and supernatural curiosities. Prepare to be amazed by the latest in scientific advance in spectral detection and containment.
Melding staged and improvised performance, exquisitely hand produced costumes and inventions, The League creates a multi-sensory reimagining of the fascinations and foibles of the Victorian past. Weaving eloquently between a sense of wonder at science and immersing their audience into the flow of history they bring a wide array of artistic production to each show. Engaging with the many members of the collective might at turns bring to mind the scientific feuds of Tesla and Edison or the folklore of Stoker & Crowley, to the whimsies of Jules Vern, or the prescient ideas of Babbage.
Join us for a highly eclectic evening in the Victorian parlor-style featuring functional gear, spiritual encounters, interactive demonstrations, lectures, various media presentations, and perhaps a cigar & some absinthe amongst much more.
