Good day fellows! I have returned to LiveJournal. Many of you may be wondering where I've been, but I doubt it. Also, I don't know how up you are to this, I'm just running it by you. The Smash community is always looking for venues to hold their tournaments. What Game Junkie does is host an event and take a reasonable amount of money from the pot for the store. Other tournaments simply have a 5-10$ venue fee (depending on size of the tourney) that is given to the store and then the other 15$ (usually 20$ entry fees) is for the pot. I'm sure, with you being a small store, that the community might be willing to give even more to the store. I'm just thinking of ways to get faithful locals to your store, as well as people from other cities. If this interests you I can run it through the community and get an estimate of how many people will show.
If you haven't heard of Gamejunkie, you could check them out at Gamejunkie.com or whatever. I mean, they're an independent store in Ohio too, so you could maybe get some tips or synergize or whatever you may.
I really hope your store succeeds man. Best of luck!
P.S.
We should play Balderdash again sometime!
