(no subject)
So, the 24th was my birthday. My parents and siblings haven't remembered as of yet, and I'm not sure I care to tell them. Jeff remembered, of course, and picked me up from my house around 2AM thursday.. with a big brownie with a blue candle in it. He told his mom why he was getting me so late, and she left a big bag on the couch for me.. a WalMart giftcard, a Hello Kitty piggybank, a set of vanity case type thingies(pink camo with skulls), and a bag of candies. I got lots of birthday wishes from friends online, too, which was nice.
Aside from all of that, I've been sitting around, jobless, lately. I've applied MANY places and I'm waiting for a call back from one.. I hope I get it soon because if I can't get in there I have another potential place, where they'll train me for IT work, but I don't want to risk starting there and then getting the first job. If the IT place trains me, I have to agree to work for them for a year, and I'd really rather get the other one, which is security.
Things, as usual, aren't going well. If I can't get a job soon I'm afraid my mom will kick me out - despite letting three different people live with her for free, for a long time, and not saying a word to them about it. Of course I'd really rather not live with my mom, but.. I would love to have a place to live. I like sleeping in a bed. And Waffle needs a place to play.
Waffle's doing great. With one of my first few paychecks from my new job(either of the two I'm looking for pay much better than HT ever could), I'll be buying him a fancy new cage, and soon after, a ferret girlfriend, to be named Maple. I even got to visit a ferret shelter earlier this week, and play with 15 different ferrets! It was so much fun, Jeff and I want to start doing it once or twice a month. It's good exercise for us AND the ferrets. Hopefully Jeff will be bringing his camera next time, and I can get a picture of all the little guys that kept trying to eat my shoes. Tooooo cute.
Well, it's 5:40 AM now and I should probably get back to sleep. Jeff's waiting in his bed for me, but I just can't sleep well lately. I leave you with a picture of a sleepy Waffle!
PS - I have kittens to give away. One needs vet care and we just can't afford it. Please take kittens! Look at this face! How can you resist??
