Happy new year guys! *__*
I hope this new year to be full of many amazing things for everyone! <3
Speaking of a totally different matter, I and my brother finally started BioShock. It's amazing so far! *_*
First thing I noticed, the visual effects are awesome. I just love the graphic, it's so beautiful and realistic and retrò <3
Another thing I absolutely love is the interactivity of the game. I mean, when you first arrive to Rapture, there's that beautiful beautiful secquence which is almost cinematographic, with the panel opening and showing the submarine city, all while you still can move. Or when you get your first glimpse of a Big Daddy through a window!
I also love how you get fragments of story indirectly, through diaries and posters, while around you everything is decaded and there's nothing of that beautiful, innovative city you hear once it was through tape-records still running. And the posters scattered around, and the notes on the walls-- it's just wonderful *_*
Aaand, it's a "shoot 'em up" game, which it makes the gaming so much easier than SH-- though it's still a bit creepy generally (there are some points in which the lights just turn off and urghhs). But I also love the subtle morality thing of the game, if I can call it so. Personally, when I see one of those almost-people near a cradle or crying on their back I always have a subtle doubt, not to mention the entire Little Sisters matter. I just love all of this.
Actually, we just met (and by my brother's decision, fought) our first Big Daddy. Personally, I think they are pretty lovable, even for the fact that they won't attack you unless you attack first; but since we have no idea how will the game proceed, especially about the Adam matter, we thought it was the logical thing to do (though of course there's no way we're killing a Little Sister sooner or later D:)
Right after we defeated the Big Daddy and saved the Little Sister though, another Big Daddy appeared with no apparent reason o_ò We followed him for a bit, and noticed he wanders around and always stops before a strange thing on the wall (maybe it's a door of some sort? I have no idea), knocks, nothing happens, then goes back to find another one, and the same thing happens again. I still have not understood what this is all for o_ò
Well, anyway I think we're going to play this definitely more often than SH, at least for now "XD (though I'm determinated to proceed with SH too of course)
