Seriously. This is such an unbelievably ridiculous story that I'm finding it near impossible to accept it at face value, yet I'm forced to simply because of how horrifying the truth must be that the official lie is a story of criminal recklessness on the part of the officer in question, plus some completely absurd gay panic garnish. On the merits:
There is no valid reason presented in the story for the officer to have drawn his service weapon. Giving the officer the benefit of the doubt, the situation called for his baton or maybe -- maybe -- his taser. An unarmed suspect wanted for indecent exposure and resisting arrest poses no credible threat warranting lethal force, full stop.
Especially not when he only has one hand free.
