A couple months ago, I started watching all of Buffy again. Of course, when I got to season 3, I started watching Angel, meshing the episodes of each. I love both shows, but I forgot just what a commitment 11 1/2 seasons of television can be. Also, when I'm hanging out with
bammba_m, I'm watching Firefly in preparation for the Serenity event next month. Further, Joss has scripted Buffy: Season 8 and Angel: Season 6 as comic books, and I'm reading them, too! So, I'm currently hip-deep in the works of Joss Whedon, and I've decided to take a break. I won't be seeing
bammba_m for a couple weeks, and I'm about to start Buffy 7/Angel 4, and I've still got about six video games I bought and haven't finished (GTA IV, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, and I still haven't done survival mode in Dead Rising), several books I need to read, and a vacation to prepare for, not to mention what appears to be 100 movies and TV shows on my shelf that I've never watched*.
I'll probably pick the shows up in a week -- they're very good to watch when I'm assembling circuit boards, and I've seen them both enough times that if I fall asleep on the couch with my soporificat, I can do a quick recap in my mind and not have to re-watch (unless it's one I actively want to see). That "falling asleep on the couch" thing will probably get me through Angel 4 -- that was a really unpleasant season.
I've got a lot to do, would be my point.
* I just counted the "never watched" x marks in my movie catalog. On my shelf, there are 82 movies and TV shows that I've never watched all the way through! I think after my vacation, I should take another vacation just to get all this stuff watched. Anyone want to help?
