Gurren Lagann and other stuff
So yea, I picked up the "hybrid edition" DVD pack of the 1st set. I was really just doing it to support the GAINAX who worked so hard on making it, and to fully see it in English. Was I surprised when I saw how different the bathhouse episode was. HOLY CRAP, can we say GAINAX FANSERVICE EPISODE. Very pleased, however I'm going to have to take my copy back and get a flawless version of it. For some reason, the 2 small scratches on the second disc create problems when I was running it; the first time when I was watching the "next episode preview" for episode 9, it skipped straight to the preview for 10. Then when I tried to watch the TV version of 6, "the bathhouse," it completely stopped the DVD on me, ran fine the second time though. A small problem could evolve into a larger one though, and then I won't be able to swap the discs out.
OH, and I just found out about the Auto Bailout like last night (yes, I have been living under a rock for almost a month.) I've got mixed feelings about the situation, but do they realize that if the big 3 fall, it's going to sink the economy even more? I wonder...
