It's been a while
To Carlislians: I have arrived! I'll be around until sometime the 12th.
In other news, today I was supposed to go on a roundtrip flight from Harrisburg to Cleveland and back again... why fly in circles you ask? Well, my sister was the co-pilot... and her husband was the captain! Unfortunately, a Northwestern flight next to their Continental was cancelled because the plane was broken and the mechanic couldn't fix it, even with spare parts... so the Continental flight, their flight, took up the NW'ern passengers. In doing so, a plane that was half-filled became filled, such that instead of me, my two brothers, and my parents getting to ride along, there was only room for two. How lame. Oh, I forgot to mention I had forgotten to bring any form of photo ID to begin with... which really didn't appear to be much of a problem - I just had to remove my shoes and be patted down, a minor inconvenience compared to what I expected. Then again, the pilots were with me, so that may have helped my case ;)
I met my 40-year-old uncle's twenty-year-old girlfriend today. She's a week younger than me and didn't graduate from high school. Not to mention that she's the niece of the chick my uncle HAD been banging after leaving his wife - he stopped seeing her because she wasn't really willing to commit to him - and that the three of them often drink together and both girls will show him their tits. Disgusting, isn't it? And his ex-wife is begging him to come back... they had built a home together, and had shared animals and lives for almost as long as I can remember. It's all depressing and frightening to me... while the situation isn't that comparable to my own, it's still eerie to me I guess.
