So my husband applied and interviewed to work at my school. He's been a sub there for half the year (pretty much since we've moved) and the process went really well beacuse of his "leg up." When it was time for him to interview with the AP he was told that they'd have to look and see if there was a spousal hiring rule in the charter school company.
Does your school/district allow spouses to work together? Because I've never been to a school that DIDN'T allow spouses to work together. He'd even be on a different team since I teach K and he would be in 3rd or 4th. And neither of us would ever be in the position to be the boss of the other...so who cares?
I know there's legal-schmeegal stuff and my principal is very much about that...but jeeze. If they DO have a rule against him working at the same school they should have looked that up BEFORE the interviews, since they knew he was applying.
.....we should know sometime this week either way. Cross your fingers for us!
