I have seen the future and it has keyboards on the walls...

First and foremost:
Christin! One more reason for you to come to Ft. Myers is the Lush at Macy's store in the Edison Mall.
I bought Ceridwen's Cauldron and brought it home to show and eat use.

This is what happened. Molly tried to eat it. First I let her sniff it and her tail began to hyper-wag.
I think I've gotten her hooked.

Also, THE QUILT IS DONE!!!!

I was waiting in trepidation for this day. I knew I would mangle everything. I knew I would be clumsy and kill the quilt before it began.

This is one of the 15 squares that I'd fray-guarded, cut, and fabric-glued onto a colorful square so I could sew the edges together. I cut the back squares and fray-guarded them too.

My mom showed me how to use her mother's (Grammie's) sewing machine which was a gift to her 55 years ago from her fiance, my Grampsie.

This is mom working with the machine.

News for people like me who are completely ignorant about sewing: GLUE AND SEWING MACHINES DON'T LIKE EACH OTHER!!
It took 4 hours to sew 15 straight lines. But it got done, and the after pics will be up when my mom uploads them from her "working" camera (these two are from my cameraphone).

Yes, my first sewing project is done, and I'm kinda proud of myself.
Go me!

Now I've got to go wind down (bedtime is in 2.5 hours). Good night, all!

lushies, adventures in sewing, friends
