Ok, so this morning I figured out that I have about 12-14 weeks left of school. So, that sounds like a pretty good thing to me!
Dr. Murray promised that he wouldn't let me reach 42 weeks, so I am pleased about that. We agree that it can be dangerous for her to stay in there too long...don't want her to burn! XD
...I am exhausted. I worked 11 hour days this week, plus 9 hours last Saturday. Two days off in a row? Yes, please!!!!!! I'm not leaving school this year until the room is set up for the next day and I'm ready to go in terms of organization. Last year I was always being asked to keep my desk cleaned off, so this year it will be a workspace and not a catch-all...that makes sense anyway, though, because it's hard for me to sit at the kids' tables now!
The patch of nerve-irritated skin on my left leg has grown. Two weeks ago it was the size of my hand, now it's about twice that. It's numb/itchy/burning depending on the situation. Before Cordy was this big I could change position to relieve the issue, but not anymore. And of course the swollen ankles don't like 11 hours on my feet, but you know what, I would take puffy legs over work anxiety any day right now.
She's moving pretty frequently now. It's very reassuring to me and instead of keeping me up at night like it would some people I think it's soothing and helps me sleep.
Not much else going on, you know how I am during the school year...I check eljay and fb every couple of days and tend to post only if there's something dramatic. I AM, however, going to try to keep updating my
mommy blog regularly.
When Cordy is born and I have some spare time (aka while she is sleeping on me and I'm terrified of putting her down for fear she'll wake up and cry ((again))...) I think I'll look into publishing some more. I have about 10 good stories, but the process of getting them published takes longer than writing them. Maybe I'll contact one of the local publishers and see if there's something THEY are looking for specifically and write something new. I miss writing more than "Sit students on carpet. Show video of butterfly emerging from chrysalis. Ask students to re-enact the scene with their bodies."
