Today has been long and it's not even over yet!
I went to visit my grandmother (+2 benadryl to keep histamines down) and she gave me a ton of Christmas linens- towels, pillowcases, tablecloths, tree skirts, etc.
I asked if she wanted to drive down and see the house. I was a little phased because of the histamine blockers, but still able to drive fine. It makes me irritable, though. This will come into play later.
Grammie oohed and aahed at the house. She was genuinely pleased that we found such a nice place (and the privacy!!!). Then on the way home she asked me if I knew that my sister is going to hell when she dies.
*record scratch*
Apparently, the sins I commit aren't intentional, so I get to go to heaven. Wendy's being gay is an intentional sin and Jesus doesn't forgive that kind (in her words). I told her that (1.) It's not my place to judge souls so I can't answer either way, (2.) Wendy is a Christian, baptized and all, (3.) If her "choice to sin" is sending her to hell then why the heck did Jesus die? Because we all choose to sin. It's fun. Otherwise it wouldn't be called temptation.
At this point I was feeling irritated (see benadryl statement above) and changed the subject. Because what else can you do?
In a few minutes I'll be headed to Panera to meet Daris and drive down to a party which is less than 1 mile from the new house. I'm bringing a fruit/cheese tray and Grammie's fudge. At least the food she makes is good all the way down, unlike some of our conversations.
