[Oneshot] A moment in the Future
“Hikaru! Hurry up. We’re almost late,” Yabu said in scream mode outside of Hikaru’s room.
“OK...OK... I’m done. Let’s go,” replied Hikaru.
Hikaru and Yabu walked fastly to the train station. They wanted to go to Shibuya because they were about to celebrate Inoo’s birthday there. Earlier, they’d made a promise with the other group members to meet at 9a.m. But then, Hikaru woke up quite late and Yabu and Hikaru got only 10 minutes before 9 a.m. Since they arrived to the station at 8.55, the train for 8.55 a.m. already left. So, they had to wait for another 5 minutes for the next train. It only takes those 5 minutes to be in Shibuya but it takes much time for them to find the place where they want to meet. Assuring that they already late, they’d to make sure that they arrive before 9.30 a.m. because Inoo will be there at that time.
“Hikaru, where’s the place?” Yabu asked Hikaru.
“I’m not sure where it is. I am completely blank,” answered Hikaru.
By 9.18 a.m.,
“Ha, Yabu-kun, that’s the place!”
“Let’s go there. I think they’ll be mad at us.”
“Yeah, you’re right. Let’s hurry before they kill us.”
They arrived at 9.21 a.m. Other members were there except Inoo. Yabu and Hikaru were glad that Inoo wasn’t there yet.
“Hey you two! Why are you late? Thank God we managed to prepare everything without you guys.” Said Takaki in a very disappointed rhyme.
“We are very sorry,” Yabu said.
“Don’t blame Yabu. Just blame me alone because it’s my entire fault. I wake up late today,” Hikaru said after Yabu.
“OK...OK... Minna… be cool. We have to be happy right? Let’s do something to them later. Think about Inoo. It’s his birthday and our job is to make him happy. Am I right everyone?” Ryutaro released his thought.
“Thanks Ryutaro,” said Hikaru.
“Well, I’m a genius right?”
“He starts again,” replied Yamada.
“Hey, that’s Inoo right? Everyone take your seat please,” instructed Daiki.
Inoo was very happy that day. Same goes to the other members. After the birthday celebration, they walked around Shibuya and go for a movie. Before they head to the station, Ryutaro suddenly said:
“Hey guys, wait! What about that to guys punishment?” Ryutaro said by pointing his finger to Yabu and Hikaru.
“Ah…I thought they forgot already,” Hikaru said to himself.
“I feel like I want to eat ice cream,” Chinen said.
“What if you guys buy ice cream for each of us?” Keito said to Yabu and Hikaru.
“Is everyone OK with that?” Takaki asked.
Everyone nodded their head.
“OK then, Hikaru, let’s buy them some ice cream.”
“OK…OK…” Hikaru said with a sad voice.
“My money will be gone,” he said again to himself.
“OK guys, we’ll meet tomorrow,” Yabu said.
Everyone headed to their home.
“I’m home,” Hikaru said.
“Ah… how’s the celebration?” asked Hikaru’s mom.
“It’s great… Okasan, I’m very tired. I’m going straight to my bed. Good night,” Hikaru replied.
“OK then. Good night.”
“Damn it. What a very tiring day today. I want to online but there’s no energy left in my body. Even there’s no more energy left in my brain for me to think of something nice,” Hikaru said to himself.
Without realizing anything, he fell asleep.
Suddenly,
“Where am I?” Hikaru said while looking at the environment around him.
“This place is really cool!” he added.
“Excuse me sir, may I help you?” asked a robot-who-act-as-a-peacekeeper to Hikaru.
“Woo! Who are you? And…do I know you?” Hikaru replied with kind of shock voice.
“I am Johnny from the peacekeeper model.”
“So, you’re a robot. Seems like a normal human being. May I know where am I now? I really have no idea about this place,” Hikaru said while scratching-his-unitchy-head.
“Hmm…sir, your kind-of-dumbness-act shows that you’re not from here. For your information, you’re in the year of 2050,” Johnny answered.
“Ah! Really??? This is very cool! If that so, can you show me the places around? I want to see your high-tech world. Can I ?” asked Hikaru.
“No problem sir. Can I know what kind of things do you like?”
“I love music,” he answered shortly.
“OK sir. Can you hold my hand for a while?” asked Johnny.
“NO PROBLEMO.”
By clicking a button on the gadget in Johnny’s hand, they were already in front of a music store within few seconds only.
“Wow! How did you do that? It’s really fast.”
“This is what we call TReV where TReV stand for Time Reducing Vehicle. If you want to go somewhere, just think about the place and click the button and within a few seconds, you’ll be in that place. Let’s go inside sir.”
After few minutes,
“Why I can’t see any musical instrument here?” Hikaru asked with an oddly face. All he can see is some metal boxes in about 2” width and 4” length and each of it has colourful designed on its body.
“What do you see now are the instruments.”
“Are you kidding me?” Hikaru said in an angry voice.
“No sir. I’m not kidding you. Let me prove to you. What kind of instrument do you like?” asked Johnny.
“Guitar.”
“Guitar…Guitar…where is it? Ah…here it is,” Johnny said while taking a blue-metal-base-colour-box.
“Sir, you hold this. Now, I want you to think about some musical notes,” Johnny ordered Hikaru.
Suddenly the box produced a sound. Hikaru was surprised.
“Wah! You’re right. That thing really produced some sounds which are similar to guitar and I’m really thinking about the notes,” Hikaru said surprisingly.
“Sir, for your information, our era is very highly built with technologies. You can easily produce your own music by thinking it in your head which you can’t do in your own world. You can try if you want.”
Hikaru was about to think about a song when suddenly:
“Hikaru! Wake up! Don’t you have a practice today? It’s already 10 a.m.” Hikaru’s mom said while knocking his room’s door.
“Oh no! I’m late again. I’m sure they’ll punish me. Sakusyou!”
He rushed himself in order to get ready.
In the end, Hikaru had to buy lunch for all of the members as a punishment for him being late for two hours.
“Ah! If everyday I’m late like this, I’m sure I’ll go bankrupt!” Hikaru said to himself but the other members can hear it.
They gave him a very big laugh.
