Cheering
About an hour after Canada's Men's Hockey team won gold, I happened to head outside to run an errand. As I opened the door, I could hear it - the usual (if somewhat distant) noise of the city (traffic, mostly) was overlaid with cheering, hooting, hollering. I just stood and listened to it for a while, amazed.
