I'd b generous by providing this place with: out of 5 stars
Ambience : 2.5
Reasoning: lighting is abysmal in the enclave area we were. Sacrificed sight for? Sensation/ romance?
Food/Cuisine - presentation : 3
Reasoning: darkness was a contributing factor. No wow factor in any of the entree presentation, even the special lobster omelette we ordered. Very plain. Disliked the whole sauce service method.
Food/Cuisine - taste : 3
Reasoning: the base ingredients are all o great class/freshness. What was done with them is essentially basic. the broccolini was more char than grilled. Oily mushrooms, charred sweet potato. The Mac & cheese was good bit not as warn when it was served.
Service : 2.5
Reasoning: greeting at door decent enough friendly but not overly attentive. No notice was paid to the table until all guests arrived. Delayed wait service, waitress was initially quite nice & friendly until we made a joke about how we were starving and if we could have some bread at the table. We were promptly informed that it would follow after our order was placed to the kicthen. There was no introduction or greeting by the sous-sommelier; wine was poured initially. I had to tequest an intro about my own selection. Wine was never repoured by staff. Table was not cleared of crumbs after entree.
The delayed service of main - timed wait of 1 hr 7 mins. The waitress sauce presentation was horrible, she seemed exasperated with our reques to know if there were other sauces such as a jus or mushroom etc. Ok so we didn't read the menu too closely, but the treatment should be more attentive than condescension.
Clearing of table didn't occur for about 20 mins after we had finished.
So far 20 mins after table clearing, no offer of water or coffee / dessert if there is a menu. Oh refill or resupply of water had to be requested.
Sincerely disappointing for the price asked.
