Morbidity?

Just finished watching Match Point. Great movie, not reviewable. It's just a film that you'd think is great but don't really wanna talk about. Favourite line was said by a side character - Carol. Damn I'm a hopeless romantic *sigh*

Books - reading Dark Destiny short story compilation, I got off eirivan... I wonder if she knew I took it.

Work - sux, thank gods I left early today else I would've had to shoot myself.

"a number of people... [set] apart from the normative herd... share one ideological linchpin in common.
They believe that life is eessentially cruel. That we're basically fucked, and that's all there is to it. That any warmth, success or happiness we manage to enjoy is, in essence, a temporal, fleeting thing: clawed by dint of sheer will or trickery from the earth's begrudging breast, then yanked back away at the earliest opportunity.
They sincerely believe, in their heart of hearts, that we were born to fight and die in a world that loves us not at all, and cares for us even less...
(It should be noted, at this point, that people - particularly those in question - are notoriously cruel to those who cross or disappoint them.)
So: If life has hammered you brutally somewhere along the line, and you have been paying attention, it's not a big stretch to wrap oneself in this kind of functional fatalism."
- John Mason Skipp

Still waiting for the 'perfect match to my neuroses' ... *LMAO*
Hopeful or hopeless?
