well, that took far too long

i finally caved and got the LJ plus account, which means that i can make my journal look snazzy without paying for it. personally, i'd prefer to create-my-own journal without having to learn LJ-ese, but heck, the style upgrade was a major improvement. now i just need to learn CSS (i get the concept but not the actual doing) and fix the colors and fonts.

i spent i don't want to think how much time also putting together my own personal mood theme based on those cute koala's march guys that even the moderate japanese nerd is drawn in to. but they are cute and look good and i'm glad i know so much about photo filetypes that i can create transparency. w00t!

on the up and up, i've got some temp work tomorrow, potentially into wednesday, and thursday i am going in for a visit because it's been pretty ridiculous how long i've gone without work through my temp agency. *her savings are getting low* it's not that bad yet, folks, and i've pretty much stopped spending any money, but having once been at a point where i had absolutely no money to my name, i'm pretty skittish about it happening again.

i just have the bottom and sleeve hems and buttons left on ca_iconoclast's jacket left to do. yay!

lastly, i (and my roommates) are suffering from lack of wii. i sent mine in on thursday, but it seems like it's been *forever* and we're all wandering around in the evening wondering what we did before i bought a wii. or at least i wonder that.

i also wonder if i am wasting my time on craigslist.org, as i swear i've logged at least 50 hours and at least 50 electronic copies of my resume trying to get positions. it is so frustrating, like salivating outside of a bakery with no money to spend, because there are some absolutely delicious jobs posted there. if anyone has some advice as to how to make my resume/cover letter/emails more interesting, please let me know. i'm wishing there was some way to be personable and professional at the same time.

i just want to jump up and down and say "pick me!" because honestly, i know i interview well. also, i'm competent and definitely a good find. why do all the lazy people get good jobs?

sewing, money, work
