I am in an advanced chorus class at my college, called Variations.Three years ago the president of the college got enough sponsers to allow the group to go to Paris to sing places. My mama is the same way. She got divorced from my dad when I was five and then she started to get sick. My dad tried to use her sickness as an excuse to get full custody of us, instead of just visitation. So mama has Always had to pretend to feel good when she feels bad, cause daddy could take her to court if something bad happens. About 6 months after mama got diagnosed with the blood clots we had to move to K-town, because Albuquerque was so hihly elevated, even with the oxygen turned all the way up, she could barely breathe...so even though K-town has some of the worst air in the country, it is still in a valley, thus more air. But after we moved here, even though she could breathe, the doctors kept finding things wrong with her. And then on mother's day she was in the hospital and they told her she had thyroid cancer...she has told my sisters and me that it is only because of us that she is still fighting.
My mama went back to college too! Heehee! She started to get her Major in Music Education, but when she was about 1/2 a semester away from graduating, we had to move so she would not die, and everytime she inrolls at UT she gets sick again. So kudos to your mama for being able to do that! It takes a very strong person to deal with things being so bad in their body, and Not give up because of it. That is what I tell mama when she feels like she is not fighting enough to be there for us. She feels really guilty fo not being there all the time.
You are amazing too! =3 It can be hard, but life is too short to just complain, and sit at the sidelines. Being part of life is sooo much more fun!
