I think that in some cases, yes, they do, because people can change over time, and they can become completely different people from what they used to be. But you have to be careful when handing out these second-chances, because some people can never change, because it is ingrained in their nature to be what they are, and in that case it would only cause more pain to give that person a second chance.

I think that people should follow their gut-instinct, and logic, not their heart in this sort of matter, because the heart tends to be more whimsical than might be best.
