*lol* A few of those from that picture bring back very fond memories. I never really knew that much about you, and honestly don't remember where I found you, but I suddenly like you a lot for this post. I enjoyed it. There was only one thing I disagreed with:
Our politics of choice is none.
That is not always true. I vote Green, and I encourage anyone who enjoys alternative activities like this vote Green as well. They basically believe you should protect the environment, that the bill of rights is not open to interpretation, and that you have complete freedom up until the point that your actions violate another person or group's freedoms. Read up on it some. Maybe one day Ravers can change the world. After all, what's wrong with love, peace, and happiness?
Also, I find the stereotypes about party kids to be amusing. I'm educated and work in corporate America. I have a challenging career, good relationship with my girlfriend of three years, I'm educated, and a generally productive member of society. From the outside looking in, the same people who would condem both of our actions believe me to be what they envision makes up a good citizen. It's frustrating, having to wear a mask. I don't think my activities make me any less, although they would in society's eyes. My friends are much like me. Among the friends I party with are chemical engineers, college students, one of them is finishing his third degree this semester and plans to do volunteer work in the UK this year, most of us are athletic and like to get out and do things outdoors. There are times I'd like to just be able to tell people and then ask them, "So, what do you think is wrong with all of us? Do you make more money than we do? Probably not. Do you lead a more fulfilling life than we do? Probably not. What do
( ... )
I personally don't vote, but if I did, I would definitely go Green. I mean, back in 2000 they had Company Flow put on a show for them at Madison Square Garden.
My own politics aren't allowed as a choice, so I suppose I have to go with the manifesto ;)

It's fun to wear a mask if you consider everyday Halloween ;)
So, can you introduce me to your chemical engineer friends?
