Happy belated Halloween everyone! How did everyone spend their Halloween? I spent mine working most of the day (in costume!) and then lazing around at home and helping to hand out candy.
On Halloween weekend though I got dressed up and went out to a bar with my friends. It was really fun and I even met a guy dressed up as Doctor Who! I danced with him and he was really nice and didn't try to pull anything weird (like with my other experiences at clubs, ugh). I also met a guy dressed up as Scorpion from Mortal Combat, but we didn't talk as much because he had a mask on and I pretty much couldn't hear him at all. ): But he did do a few punches and jump kicks for me, which was funny and when I clapped he made a big show out of bowing, haha.
Anyway, I dressed up in two costumes this year! I re-used my Suika costume from Anime North at work and went out with my friends as Gumi from Matryoshka. :D
I really liked the end result of this costume! It took me awhile to get everything together, but I think it looks good! It took me FOREVER to find red and black stockings for some reason, but I really love them and I think it just brings the whole costume together!
BANG!
Picture with MAH FRAND.
No one knew who I was, so I printed off a picture before hand so if anyone asked I could just show them it and not have to explain over and over again what my costume was. And actually the wig I'm wearing I had to buy from the dollar store because the good wig I ordered online didn't come in in time which made me RAAAAAAGE, but I'm just glad I was able to find a green wig in the first place! DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND A GREEN WIG?!?! IT'S REALLY REALLY HARD. D:< I had to comb the whole city before stumbling upon one at a dollar store of all places! Lucky find!
Aaaaand here's me at work in my Suika costume with MAH FRAND. I loved her Ezio costume!!
Like a BOSS.
Full body ACTION POSES. AWWW YEEEEAH.
I also had a picture of Suika with me when I went to work because of course I KNEW people would be asking. It ended up that two people thought I was a female viking and one woman thought I was an opera singer(???), but she said I was beautiful and she loved it which made me awwww. I also got a butt load of compliments such as "Just wanted to tell you I think your costume is AWESOME" and little kids going "Look at the girl mommy!" which was so adorable, omg. It made the whole day of bumping into things and climbing up ladders with a skirt on worth it, haha!
Anyway, I love Halloween! It means I can be as geeky as I want and no one cares~! ALSO CANDY *shot* Anyway I can't wait for next year!
