So hey, guess what I found? METAL POKEMON OPENING. I'M SO IN LOVE WITH IT. WHY DIDN'T I FIND POWERGLOVE SOONER, I LOVE THIS BAND.
They also do other songs from video games and shows and re-do them as metal songs. SO AMAZING. /metalhead
So new stuff going on! I've been playing Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker a lot lately. It's really fun! The art in it is done by Ashley Wood and it's really, really pretty. I love his style. And I'm such a VA nerd that I shout out voice actor names before the game introduces them. I'm a loser. XD
What's really fun in the game is the fact that you can knock out enemy soldiers and then ship them off and make them into your lackeys. They can either be on your combat team, or on the technical team and make weapons for you. All the guys have codenames like 'Alligator' or something and when I was first searching through them there was one guy named 'Chicken Grunt', but of course I misread it as, 'Chicken Butt'. XD I thought that was infinitely more funny than his original name, so now I'm using him a lot on my combat team just so I can deploy him and be like, "GO CHICKEN BUTT, GOOOO!!" XD
Anyway, right now I'm stuck because there's an area in it with a crap load of guys and every time I try to tranquilize them, they notice me and I die before I can shoot back or CQC them. D:<
Also, I got a 7 day free pass to the Goodlife gym in town, so I've been going to classes that they have and AGGGH, I'M SO STIFF AND SORE. *fatass* They have one class called 'Body Combat' where you have to kick and punch and run around and I managed to get through the whole thing somehow, even though I'm pretty much dead on my feet now, ORZ. Oh well, it's helping me to keep active besides running at home, so it's probably a good thing even if it doesn't feel like it now *shot*.
Started watching Starry Sky and Kuragehime and I'm liking them so far! I wasn't expecting Starry Sky to only be 11 minutes long per episode, but I guess the Hetalia approach to things is getting popular or something. It's still cute though and I'll probably watch it for all the fluff and cute boys. XD Kuragehime is just hilarious. I needed a good anime that was funny, but not incredibly crazy. I think I'll probably stick to that one for awhile.
I also found out there was an OVA out for Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu, so I checked that out but it was HORRIBLE. It wasn't the voice acting (it was great actually, Daisuke Namikawa played Kyouta HNNNGG <3), it was the animation. It was like they took every excuse they could to NOT animate something in it, and when the characters did move it looked terrible (like they were floating across the screen instead of walking or something). It was pretty bad. I like that manga, so it was pretty disappointing. I kind of wish they would make it into a proper anime, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see on that one.
Well, disregarding my rants, does anyone know of any good animes to recommend? I'm a shoujo freak, but I don't think there's a lot of shoujo type animes out right now. I was thinking of checking out Otome Yōkai Zakuro. Has anyone seen it? I feel so behind on new anime releases, ORZ.
