Photo Op!

You know you were just itchin' for photos from yesterday's adventure :) Be warned though, most of the pictures are large and will take a while to load.

As I mentioned, it was a gorgeous day, and here's the proof- . For some reason everyone likes to sit at the front. But I don't. I'm the kind of person who doesn't mind looking back and reflecting on where she's been instead of always wondering where she's going.

On our way out to the feeding grounds we passed what appeared to be small fishing boat being harassed by a rather large flock of seagulls. I found the sight to be rather humorous to say the least. So of course, I had to photograph it.

And yes, I know you've been waiting patiently for the good stuff. I hope you aren't expecting anything spectactular because whales in the wild are very hard to photograph. They don't exactly do things on cue. You never know just when or where they are going to surface and you have to contend with all the other tourists wanting to get pictures. But still, these are the best of the bunch. I did see some awesome stuff that I unfortunately couldn't capture on camera *sigh* Maybe next time I'll have better reflexes.

I said Minke whales were harder to photograph, and we saw fewer of them. I think this is the only one I got a halfway decent picture of.

We saw more finbacks and were able to get much closer to them so all the rest of the photos are of them.
