For the record...Monday is going to be the most fucking uber-sucky day I've had all year, next to Gio leaving, and school being out. So if I snap at anyone, I apologize in advance.
I.
Hate.

Period.

Excuse me while I slam my head into a wall. Repeatedly.

“Sara, NO. You may not be the test subject for the cancer study.”
“Why? My immune system is stronger than most peoples’. Who else has the head doctor for a dad? And you always endorsed anything that helped the immune system.”
“Because I don’t want my daughter to get killed! What if something goes wrong!” his expression softened, “Look I just want you to be safe. But no is no.”
Sara stormed off out to the nurse’s lounge to think. Her red hair was now pulled back in a bun. The clothes she usually wore, teal pants and a teal shirt, marked her as a nurse. She was fairly tall for her age of 22. Her father was a black haired man who could seem stern at times. He was fairly tall and usually kind. Most importantly he was a head doctor for the Galactic alliance. When he was a little boy many species of aliens came to earth and settled differences creating the United Earth Directorate. The UED now settles current disputes in the alien’s absence. The aliens asked for 10 of the world’s best doctors to help them cure diseases of their planets. In return the aliens would come to cure diseases on earth. The 100 doctors from each race, ten from each planet in the solar system (twenty from mars), roamed the planets to expunge disease from all life. It was the earth’s turn to be cleaned of major disease. The last disease was cancer. The earth needed test subjects and Sara wanted to be one. She wanted to be great like her dad.
In the nurse’s lounge she saw Joan. Joan was the daughter of another head doctor and was one of the people working on the cancer experiment.
“Hey, Joan!
“Hey, Sara. I thought today was your day off.”
Sara blushed “It is. I wanted to sign up as a test subject for the cancer experiment. Can you hook me up?”
“Sure, but why? It’ll be dangerous. We’re dealing with cancer, not a cold. You sure?”
“Absolutely”
“Alright, but I gotta do a routine blood work first. Just to make sure you’re healthy. Ok?”
“Let’s go.” Sara smiled as Joan put her in as subject 1.

Sara was injected with her first cancer cells. She lay in a hospital bed dozing.
Dad is gonna kill me, she thought. These were chosen from a test subject before her and had come from a long line of test subjects. This was to reduce the amount of work that had to be redone as well as to only inject a crippled cancer. Sara fell asleep. She woke up to her father in the room. She only opened her eyes and said nothing.
“How could you agree with her Joan!?” her father’s face was beet red.
“She is a healthy person fit for the job. How was I supposed to know the cancer would change?”
“ANYTHING adapts to its surroundings. Including cancer. You should have known that.”
Sara began to get scared. The cancer changed? So what is inside her? She shuddered and then spoke.
“What change?”
