[RP, Facebook, Contest] Final Fantasy Topaz
Inside Topaz, there's currently a contest going on. Here is my entry.
(So far, she's a character that I've only created for the contest. I'm not sure if I'll use her in Trials of Remembrance, the story for my main character that I'm still creating.)
Update (08/04/12): This contest ended last month... I basically forfeited, due to lack of ideas for the RP samples. But keeping the character profile here as a possible new main/support character idea...?

Race: Miqo'te (lol, yes, I totally went with the FFXIV race. Sorry. *bows in apology*)

Height/Weight: 5'6", 135 lbs
Hometown: Unknown
Current Location: Unknown
Family: Father & Mother (deceased), older twin sister who is a red mage/chemist (Kara), and a younger brother who is a dragoon/artist (Zephyer)
Occupation: fortune teller
Job Class: summoner/white mage
Weapons: Astral Candescence (a staff with a floating gemstone), tarot cards (designed by her brother)
Skills [summoner]: Summons categorized by compatiblity (most compatible to least compatible) | Carbuncle, Sylph, Ixion, and Phoenix
Skills [white mage]: Known spells -- cure 1, poisona, blindna, protect, shell, libra, dia, silence, paralyze. Can learn -- cure 2, paralyna, stona, raise, slow.
Known Disabilities: Felicita is blind. So she depends on her ears and her siblings a lot.
Appearance: Long (almost to her waist) light purple hair with aqua green eyes. She wears a green three-quarter sleeved tunic with short brown shorts that are laced with green string on the sides. She also wears short brown boots with green leg warmers, a couple of gold bangles on her right arm, and the orange evoker's crown/headdress.
Personality: Felicita is usually quiet and observant but she's also overprotective of her family and friends. She lacks some confidence in herself because she feels a little helpless being blind. Because of this, her compatiblity with Phoenix isn't too great. (Phoenix is sticking with her because s/he can see great potential in Felicita.) She also wanders off by herself when she finds an interesting/familiar aura that appeals to her.
Background: When Felicita and Kara were 7 years old (Zephyer would have been about 4 years old at the time), a mysterious disease spread through their hometown. The symptoms varied by person and mainly affected the Miqo'te adults. Felicita's parents lost their lives to this disease before a physician and her husband came to town. A few small occurrences happened where the disease did spread to children but it didn't take their lives -- it constricted one of their senses. Felicita was one of those that fell to the strange occurrences and it took her sight. The physican and chemist believed that they created a medicine to help the last few ill adults that were still alive... but that hurried the disease and took all their lives instead. Embarrassed by their failure, the two stayed in the village to figure out the cause of the disease and if it'll reappear in the children when they grow older. The children who lost their parents because of the medicine hated the couple and left the town. Most children stayed because they were scared of the outside world and began to band together to protect their hometown themselves. A small handful became apprentices (including Kara) to study medicine. Felicita, who lost her sight, almost fell into despair but her little brother Zephyer promised her that he will grow up and find a way to cure her blindness.
Many years have passed and there were still no indication of what caused the disease. However, it didn't take any lives of Miqo'te children that became adults. Kara became a full fledge chemist, thanks to the two humans that stayed to watch over the town, and began a medicine business to help take care of her siblings. Felicita became a fortune teller who read people's auras. Zephyer gained a passion for art when he was training to become a dragoon (he loved stories of dragoons, so he wanted to become one when he grew older). Kara was asked to visit a town outside their home, so she brought Felicita and Zephyer with her as a change of pace. While they were gone, they recieved word that the mysterious disease reappeared and they were told not to return because it might affect Felicita and Kara. Because of the warning, the three decided to travel the world to find a solution for the disease. They were traveling to Peridot by boat to visit libraries and other physicans of the various large cities to see if they could find information about the disease... but the horrible storm (created by a raging sea beast) hit the boat, causing them to be shipwrecked at an unknown location.
