6) Bloodshot - Cherie Priest

In spite of the author's almost-laughable name (please say that this is not a deliberately-chosen pen-name!), she spins a decent tale. Pure fluff - there is no social commentary, the characters grow, and show an acceptable depth, but we don't get too much into their emotional make-ups, the lead character's "flaws" are, of course, played into strengths... but it is a quick-paced adventure tale with a protagonist who just happens to be female, a thief, professional, oh... and undead. At least she doesn't sparkle: being a vamp makes her faster, stronger, tougher, but not wholly unbeatable or untouchable by humans.

Oh, and yes, I've been reading quite a bit. Amazing what being sick will allow you to do, sometimes - generally in the past week and a half, the furthest I've been able to make it is the computer or the couch, and the most strenuous thing I've been able to do is lift a book. Thank goodness the library is close by!
