Chapter 14
Akanishi will soon be late at school - again. Just thanks to his best friend for not waking him up. Again, he couldn’t able to cook a decent breakfast for himself.
It has been a month since he moved to Yamashita’s house. He could rent his own pad but since his friend’s been living all by himself, he decided to live there too. It would be sad leaving alone.
“I’m gonna rip his head off when I saw him for sure.” Akanishi uttered exasperatedly.
He hurriedly rides his bike with full speed, hoping he could somehow get in school just in time.
On the way to his school, while he’s passing a downhill at the side of the way, from the corner of his eyes he saw someone standing right next to a single tree on that place. He couldn’t help but lowering his speed and averted his gaze to that person. She’s alone and seems like waiting for someone. Then he pedaled his bike a little faster and looked straight to his way.

The next day, when Akanishi is on his way to his school, he saw the same girl at a certain spot, looking kind of gloomy but then Akanishi was not sure about that. She’s probably been waiting for that certain person quietly. She was blankly staring in front of her. Akanishi doesn’t know where and what she was looking at, but who cares. He then stopped ogling around and continues his way to his school.

Another morning.
Akanishi was once again on his way to his school. He stopped when he arrived at a place where he had seen the girl from yesterday and the other day. And as what he expected, the girl was standing right next to a tree, apparently still waiting for someone. But who might she be waiting? Was that person even comes? Or is she waiting for someone who might not come for her after all. Akanishi finds himself wonders a lot of things and it seems troubling him too in some ways. When he was at school, he was actually thinking if the one that the girl was waiting ever came or what time does the girl go home and such. And out of his curiosity, he took the path towards the girl.

Akanishi aren’t attending school these past few days. He was always spending the day with the girl he once saw, apparently waiting - which he happens to confirm that she is actually waiting for someone - who would not come after all...
She was waiting for the one she loves even though he’s not coming... And she knows it... But she could only love him...and wait for him...
And as days passes by, Akanishi realized something...that he’s now fell in love with her... And realized that he’s actually waiting for her to forget about the person who couldn’t able to love her back...but he can. He can give his love to her with his whole heart and soul...but all he could do is just wait...in vain.

“Ne Akanishi-kun,” She muttered but didn’t lay her gaze to the person beside her. Both of them were sitting at the grass, just near the tree where she would always let her day passed thinking only about one particular guy. Akanishi looked at her. “Do you know that I’m not complete as I am?” She solemnly states but the boy didn’t gave her an answer but instead wait for her next sentence. “I will never be complete... He’s the only one for me. And I’m the only one for him... But he won’t be coming back to me...”
Akanishi felt a dagger stabbed his heart but he was well aware of that. He couldn’t let his emotions to control him. He wants to love her even though it’s kind of impossible for him to be loved in return. But then... No one actually could tell what might be their future is.
“You’re just like me; do you know that, Akanishi-kun?” This time she placed her cheerless stare to the man who loves her. “We are just the same.” Then a dishearten smile curved on her lips. She placed her eyes back to the place she was looking at a while ago. “I knew all along that you love me. But I cannot love you back.”
“Why?...” the boy somehow wanted to give himself a chance...out of what his mind telling him that there is no chance at all.
“Because he... the one and only that I would love is Kamenashi Kazuya.”

“Is Kamenashi there? My classmate, the one who’s not a boy?
“What do you want?” crossing his arms in the process.
“Is she in there?” Minami insists of finding the girl Kamenashi.
“There’s no girl in here. Y’know what, I’m not really in the mood for this-”
“Are you...really...? You mean... wait...” Minami’s eyes got widened as she remembers something, “Have you kissed by Akanishi?” but she abruptly realized that she was not supposed to know that, “I mean...it’s just so happen that I saw both of you, making out.” She paused, “Okay. I followed you back then.” She hesitantly smiled after.
Minami was waiting for something like a response from the boy but only stoic gaze glued at her.

Kame infuriately sighed. “Do you wanna come in?” he said after a moment of standing right at the door.
“Oh, I would love that.” Minami answered, making herself at home.
“You mean...you’re a boy all along? I mean, Yes of course you’re a boy. But the disguise? How do you feel about that? Did Akanishi actually know? Or is that the reason why this love-quarrel’s going on.” There’s still a lot of question listed from Minami’s brain after discovering the most shocking kept secret she could possibly think of. But she thinks that she blown a bunch of questions already. And right now, she wants an answer more that anything.
Kame sighed. He remembers the time when Akanishi finds out about his disguise but he didn’t ask him anything. He waited for the taller boy to ask but he didn’t... Does that mean that Akanishi doesn’t really care for him and not what he was pertaining to that Kame might not able to tell the taller boy the reason for his disguise? Maybe Akanishi was not really interested of knowing about the reason why he was doing such a thing, since Akanishi was playing around...
“Ne Kame-chan!”
Suddenly, the call snatched Kame from his train of thoughts. “H-Huh?”
“Did you even hear one of my queries? I’m asking you-”
“I heard you.”
“So...?”
Kame stared at her. “He knows.” He admits. He thought that there’s no point on keeping it. “And I don’t think that’s the reason why...all of this...” Kame suddenly pause his sentence as he remembers all that had happens these past heartbreaking days...
“Are you...” Minami started, “...gay?” She knows she’s being nosy and stepping out of the line but she wanted to know not because it interests her but all of this is out of her full concern with Kamenashi but she might offended Kame’s feelings. “I’m sorry. Just don’t mind what I just said. I know I’m meddling too much.”
“I don’t know... I’m not sure...” He confessed. He’s still living in a whole uncertainty regarding that matter. “I know I’m not...gay... But I don’t know why I feel these feelings for Jin... I’m not really sure when it all began. It just so happen. There are times that I want to feel like I’m one heck of a real girl because of him...because all of this unbearable things that keeps on happening... Maybe I’m a gay after all.” He laughed halfheartedly, “Why am I saying this to you?”
“Didn’t I tell you that you can talk to me? I am willing to listen and...be your friend.”
Kame stared at her. He was touched by that simple word. He has a friend as he just realized. “Thanks.”
“Does Akanishi...love you back despite of your...preference?”
Kame looked down, “He said he never did...” his heart seems remembering the most excruciating feeling when he heard that from the taller boy.
Minami felt the heartrending air from Kame.
“Then... Do you hate him?”
“I... don’t think so...”
“Hate him.” Minami seriously uttered. “I guess that’s pretty normal if you would feel angry toward Akanishi. Hate him instead of continuing on loving him. You must forget about him. It probably the most difficult task but you don’t really have a choice but to move on. And I think if you wouldn’t hate him...you’ll love him more.”
Kame knows that what Minami’s advice was completely right. He should hate Akanishi for playing with his feelings all this time. But he wonders why he couldn’t do such a thing.
“I don’t think that’s...simple as it sounds...” Kame muttered.
“What about her?” Minami seriously asked. “How did you finally forget about her?”

“You!...How could you not loved her? Akanishi furiously uttered while hauling the smaller boy’s collar.
“What are you talking about?” Kame wasn’t scared but he was hell confused why Akanishi suddenly becomes mad and talks about...someone else.
“Why did you leave her alone?! She’s been always waiting for you but where on earth are you, huh?!” the taller boy said, ragingly gritting his teeth.
Kame narrowed his eyes. “Who is she?! What’s gotten into you?” Just what the hell Akanishi was talking about? Does Kame have been the one who is so confused right at the moment or is it Akanishi? Does the taller boy still know what he was saying?
“She loves you...” Akanishi suddenly becomes soft. “Her whole world revolves only on you...” Kame heard a sudden crack from the taller boy’s words. Is he...about to cry?...
“Just who is she that you’re talking about?...”
“Did you love her?” Akanishi’s grip on the other boy’s uniform got loose. And a tears suddenly appears around the corner of Akanishi’s eyes and was about to fall. “I love her.” Kame felt a skipped form his heartbeat. He felt a Goosebumps all around him hearing Akanishi loves someone else...and not to mention, it’s a girl... “I only loved her. Do you know how much it hurts to see her in such pain?”
Kame felt a sudden quiver from his body. “W-What are you talking about?...Who... Who is...she? I-I thought you’re a...gay...”
But apparently, the taller boy doesn’t seem to hear his queries.
“Why did you leave her alone?... If...If you loved her...she wouldn’t have thought...”
“What are you talking about? Damn it! Why don’t you just tell me what the hell you’re saying?!”
Tears falls from the taller boy’s eyes and blankly stared at Kame. It’s breaking Kame’s heart. “...I was there... when she... killed herself...” Akanishi suddenly uttered with his trembling voice.
Kame felt a strike in his heart. He doesn’t know if it was the information totally sunk within his head immediately that someone ended her life in front of this boy that he loves all his heart and soul, or because of the tears falls from Akanishi’s eyes. He never saw this man he loves cry before.
“It’s your fault...” Akanishi said, teeth’s gritting.
Kame was frozen. What was the taller boy was saying? How is it his fault that someone died...? Who...
Kame’s eyes got widened. ‘No way! No fucking way!’ suddenly Kame felt a knife cuts his heart into pieces. There is one person that he knows cut her lifespan... Does Akanishi pertaining to her?
“It’s your fucking fault that Kazuya killed herself.”
Kame’s brain suddenly dried out from the information. It felt the world suddenly stops from revolving.
“Do you remember now your own twin sister? After leaving her all alone? She’s been waiting for her other half all along. Why didn’t you come for her? Where have you been? Why did you leave her all by herself?”
“I-I...” Kame doesn’t know what to say. He never knew that...that he’s the reason why her twin sister killed herself...because of him... He doesn’t know that she’s having those unrequited feelings for him...
“If you could have stayed with her side...”

Akanishi was taking his revenge all along... From the first time Akanishi laid his eyes to him... No, his scheme started right after he decided to attend at his school. But then, even Kame knew that, he doesn’t find in his heart the hatred towards the other boy but instead, he wants to be beside Akanishi even more.
Kame couldn’t brush off his head the image where Akanishi cried in front of him. He felt he’s the one that hurts the other boy around. He becomes oblivious around him. Today is their last day of school but his mind was not getting any of what their classroom’s getting busy at.
His mind was floating. He couldn’t help but think about what Akanishi’s confession this morning. He really wasn’t loved by Akanishi but he really loved his fraternal twin.
Does Kazuya, his twin sister love Kame the way Kame loves Akanishi right now? Perhaps even bigger. She wouldn’t let her life ended if she’s just longing for a brother. Why didn’t he know such things? Was that the reason why his parents cast him away?

The last day before summer break. The end of the class but throughout the day, Kame was just keep on sighing.
He’s about to get home. He opened his shoe locker to change his shoes back. Another letter falls from inside. It has a pink envelope just like the one he once got before. He knew who had it come from. He read the message inside.
“Let’s meet at the same place at the same time. I’ll wait for you.”
He suddenly remembers what had happened from the time they first met like this. Something that Yamapi told him...
“Don’t fall in love with Jin!”
Something that Yamapi couldn’t tell the reason why... Now he finally understood why he shouldn’t fall for Jin. If he just listened to the boy...
But does he really regrets loving Akanishi? He couldn’t even find from his heart to hate him in spite of what the other boy did to him. This is the first time he feels this kind of feeling. Akanishi once had this kind of feelings. He loved Kazuya even though he knew that she loves someone else... He comes to wonder then, why Kazuya doesn’t find in her heart to love Akanishi?...

He came after all.
He saw YamaPi silently sitting at the fountain’s circle waiting for him. He walked closer to the other boy, wondering what Yamapi could be thinking. Maybe he’s here to make fun of him because he didn’t listen to what Yamapi warned him beforehand.
“Yo!” Yamapi greeted him after he saw Kame walking closer to where he at.
“Yo.” Kame answered back.
“Where do you wanna go?”
“I thought you wanted to talk.”
“I do. But maybe you wanna go somewhere else”
“I don’t really have in my mind.”
“Let’s just grab some dinner then.”

“So you knew already?” Pi asked. They chose to eat at the diner near the plaza.
“Yeah... But what do you want to talk about? Why did you ask me here? Wait... Do you really know about what Jin had in mind all along...?”
“...Yeah, I know he’s hurt and couldn’t get the fact that you’re nothing to do with your twin’s death. But I didn’t know you already find out about that.”
“He told me...everything, I guess... Are you going to tell me if he didn’t tell me yet?”
“Nn...Not really... You see, that Bakanishi is my best friend and I knew what pain he buried inside his chest. I did what I can possibly do to stop him but he doesn’t want to... And all I can do is, hope that he won’t get hurt from his stupid scheme. I couldn’t say anything to you that time. I don’t know, maybe I got scared that if his whole plan was prevented by me, the wound from his heart will remain there forever... He had changed since... your sister died. But then I thought he’s back and time finally healed him.”
“What do you mean?”
“When the time I saw you together, I thought I saw the Akanishi Jin he used to be. I thought he finally moved on...”
“But then it was just a part of his plan...” Kame continues.
“I think he wants you to feel the pain of not loved in return...”
“Yeah...”
“Do you hate him now?” Pi asked with concern.

“Why? I’m not saying that you should but, isn’t that supposed to be a normal reaction after you were played by the other party?”
“Saa… Maybe I love him more than that I’m aware of.” Yeah, that’s what it is. Probably, Kame’s love for Akanishi Jin is too big that hate doesn’t have a place to stay.

“Awww...... I think Akanishi-kun is so cute...” Minami commented, “I think I want to fall in love with him again.” She continues while Kame’s being serious.
Kame saw Minami outside their home the night he comes home after meeting with Yamapi. Minami happens to noticed how gloomy and at the same time totally blank his expression the whole day at school. He told Minami everything and that’s how she reacted.
“If you could possibly get Jin out from his cage, why not fall in love with him. If he would love someone else... and be free from the pains from his past, that’s better...” Kame was hurt from his own words but he thought that’s way better. He doesn’t want Akanishi to feel that pain, not even thinking of him getting hurt...
“Baka! I’m just kidding. You’re hopeless, saying such a martyr words. Ne Kame-chan, do you still want to put things back together with Akanishi-kun? Only this time is for real.”
“Eh?” Kame doesn’t know if he was surprised why Minami could say such a pointless words or he actually was surprised that there is a hope after all.
“You have an entire month to forget about him.” Minami stated but before Kame could have reacted from that, the door of his room got opened. And his father saw him, with his own clothes, with a girl, inside his room.
Kame forgot about it but he was actually waiting for his father’s return only to ask about Kamenashi Kazuya, his twin sister.

“Do you remember now your own twin sister? After leaving her all alone? She’s been waiting for her other half all along. Why didn’t you come for her? Where have you been? Why did you leave her all by herself?”
“I-I...” Kame doesn’t know what to say. He never knew that...that he’s the reason why her twin sister killed herself...because of him... He doesn’t know that she’s having those unrequited feelings for him...
“If you could have stayed with her side...”

Akanishi was taking his revenge all along... From the first time Akanishi laid his eyes to him... No, his scheme started right after he decided to attend at his school. But then, even Kame knew that, he doesn’t find in his heart the hatred towards the other boy but instead, he wants to be beside Akanishi even more.
Kame couldn’t brush off his head the image where Akanishi cried in front of him. He felt he’s the one that hurts the other boy around. He becomes oblivious around him. Today is their last day of school but his mind was not getting any of what their classroom’s getting busy at.
His mind was floating. He couldn’t help but think about what Akanishi’s confession this morning. He really wasn’t loved by Akanishi but he really loved his fraternal twin.
Does Kazuya, his twin sister love Kame the way Kame loves Akanishi right now? Perhaps even bigger. She wouldn’t let her life ended if she’s just longing for a brother. Why didn’t he know such things? Was that the reason why his parents cast him away?

The last day before summer break. The end of the class but throughout the day, Kame was just keep on sighing.
He’s about to get home. He opened his shoe locker to change his shoes back. Another letter falls from inside. It has a pink envelope just like the one he once got before. He knew who had it come from. He read the message inside.
“Let’s meet at the same place at the same time. I’ll wait for you.”
He suddenly remembers what had happened from the time they first met like this. Something that Yamapi told him...
“Don’t fall in love with Jin!”
Something that Yamapi couldn’t tell the reason why... Now he finally understood why he shouldn’t fall for Jin. If he just listened to the boy...
But does he really regrets loving Akanishi? He couldn’t even find from his heart to hate him in spite of what the other boy did to him. This is the first time he feels this kind of feeling. Akanishi once had this kind of feelings. He loved Kazuya even though he knew that she loves someone else... He comes to wonder then, why Kazuya doesn’t find in her heart to love Akanishi?...

He came after all.
He saw YamaPi silently sitting at the fountain’s circle waiting for him. He walked closer to the other boy, wondering what Yamapi could be thinking. Maybe he’s here to make fun of him because he didn’t listen to what Yamapi warned him beforehand.
“Yo!” Yamapi greeted him after he saw Kame walking closer to where he at.
“Yo.” Kame answered back.
“Where do you wanna go?”
“I thought you wanted to talk.”
“I do. But maybe you wanna go somewhere else”
“I don’t really have in my mind.”
“Let’s just grab some dinner then.”

“So you knew already?” Pi asked. They chose to eat at the diner near the plaza.
“Yeah... But what do you want to talk about? Why did you ask me here? Wait... Do you really know about what Jin had in mind all along...?”
“...Yeah, I know he’s hurt and couldn’t get the fact that you’re nothing to do with your twin’s death. But I didn’t know you already find out about that.”
“He told me...everything, I guess... Are you going to tell me if he didn’t tell me yet?”
“Nn...Not really... You see, that Bakanishi is my best friend and I knew what pain he buried inside his chest. I did what I can possibly do to stop him but he doesn’t want to... And all I can do is, hope that he won’t get hurt from his stupid scheme. I couldn’t say anything to you that time. I don’t know, maybe I got scared that if his whole plan was prevented by me, the wound from his heart will remain there forever... He had changed since... your sister died. But then I thought he’s back and time finally healed him.”
“What do you mean?”
“When the time I saw you together, I thought I saw the Akanishi Jin he used to be. I thought he finally moved on...”
“But then it was just a part of his plan...” Kame continues.
“I think he wants you to feel the pain of not loved in return...”
“Yeah...”
“Do you hate him now?” Pi asked with concern.
“No...”
“Why? I’m not saying that you should but, isn’t that supposed to be a normal reaction after you were played by the other party?”
“Saa… Maybe I love him more than that I’m aware of.” Yeah, that’s what it is. Probably, Kame’s love for Akanishi Jin is too big that hate doesn’t have a place to stay.

“Awww...... I think Akanishi-kun is so cute...” Minami commented, “I think I want to fall in love with him again.” She continues while Kame’s being serious.
Kame saw Minami outside their home the night he comes home after meeting with Yamapi. Minami happens to noticed how gloomy and at the same time totally blank his expression the whole day at school. He told Minami everything and that’s how she reacted.
“If you could possibly get Jin out from his cage, why not fall in love with him. If he would love someone else... and be free from the pains from his past, that’s better...” Kame was hurt from his own words but he thought that’s way better. He doesn’t want Akanishi to feel that pain, not even thinking of him getting hurt...
“Baka! I’m just kidding. You’re hopeless, saying such a martyr words. Ne Kame-chan, do you still want to put things back together with Akanishi-kun? Only this time is for real.”
“Eh?” Kame doesn’t know if he was surprised why Minami could say such a pointless words or he actually was surprised that there is a hope after all.
“You have an entire month to forget about him.” Minami stated but before Kame could have reacted from that, the door of his room got opened. And his father saw him, with his own clothes, with a girl, inside his room.
Kame forgot about it but he was actually waiting for his father’s return only to ask about Kamenashi Kazuya, his twin sister.

A/N: Kyaaa!! I finally revealed Jin’s secret, and partly this story’s big himitsu... Oh well. I hope you haven’t got lost from the time to time turn of events from the previous chapter to this one.
