Aki + Tattoo = Panic Attack?
Um... so yeah xD I think I'm building up enough courage to go through with getting a tattoo. >.>a I'm terrified of needles. The way I look at it is this: If I can't sit through my mom getting hers, there is no way in hell I can sit through getting mine xD I might be wrong though... Here's hoping x3; BUT! Cause this is turning out to be a long post it is behind a cut for the niceness to friends pages xD;
My cousin's fiance (? I think I can call her that now xD even though he hasn't officially proposed yet...) was like "...you're afraid of needles? I see you have a few piercings... how did you get them if you're afraid of needles?" I'm wondering the same thing. She has three (? I think it was that xD) tattoos... my uncle fiance just recently got one... my mom is going in on Friday to get hers... my dad is going to get one soon-ish... and I WANT one xD; But am like "OMG NEEDLES NO" >_< Which sucks cause what I want is PERFECT for me :D
What do I want? Something symbolic to the Aki :3 Now... it BOTHERS me to NO END when people get kanji tattoos because they think it looks cool. -_- no... please don't. D: I mean... unless it has meaning to you and you ACTUALLY know what it means (for all you know you crazy peoples out there xD It could mean poop... lol) So why did I give that rant? Well, my tattoo (if I get it~) will say Akiko in kanji (cause it is part of me, it is who I am :x) and it'll have a butterfly in the lower left corner near the "ko" kanji. :3 It's hard finding a *good* butterfly tattoo design though that I can play with in photoshop with the kanji I have x3;
Oh and placement! :D It'll be on my left shoulder blade *nodnod* near-ish mah scar (for those who know about it which I think is... one? xD maybe two or three... if I'm lucky xD) I think when I go in with mom to get hers done I'll take my print off with me and look through the books and talk to the guy there and be like "Halp, I kinda want to get this tattoo done, this is what I have in mind... your input plzkthx!"
Also it may or may not be in all black :x The kanji WILL be in black. The butterfly may or maynot be. :3 Cause if I go with a tribal design it may be in all black as well or I might have him do it in fall colors still (just different parts in different colors) and um... if I go with an actual butterfly that has color it'll be in fall colors. I don't only want the Kanji. Originally I was thinking some vines coming from around/behind the kanji that had some fall leaves on them or butterflys BUT... I don't know if I could stand it that long lol
For size i'm thinking no more than... *finds ruler* 3"x3" :x So yeah xD I have a lot of playing around to do... cause I don't want the kanji to be *too* small but I don't want them to be too big either. Nor do I want the whole tattoo to be freaking large. Actually, I'm not even sure why it has to be a butterfly. I can't figure out it's significance to me other than I like them and I think it'd look good. Though I've also played around with other ideas such as my zodiac sign xD *nodnod* Here are the designs I've played around with so far! (shrunk down to the 3x3 size~)

I like this one, it's simple and cute. Not so sure about the squared ends of the wings though....

I like this one a lot too. But the one draw back is the butterfly and how complex it is. x3; But I like it a little bit better. It's wings anyway :O

This is the last one I've been able to come up with so far. :x I like it buuut I don't know if the Leo symbol looks like it is supposed to be part of the kanji or not xD Maybe that is why I wanted a butterfly xD;
