WHOOO!
I think I may have just sold 2 sketchbooks to a complete stranger via my website. I know that this may not sound like anything overly special or worth the drama of titling such as "WHOOO!" but it truly is.
I've had my website up and ofering sketchbooks for about 9 months and haven't had so much as a single email. All of a sudden I get an email asking for 2 sketchbooks by Christmas! It's like when as an artist you get solicited to draw a commission out of the blue. It validates you and your craft.
I'm so excited to have someone be impressed enough with my work to order from me. I really like the sketchbooks that I make and have been so frustrated at the lack of interest, even when I offered them for free, so this really has me geeked.
I guess I could also mention here that if you are looking for a last minute gift for artist types, I can still make and ship a sketchbook by Christmas. I'll even cut people on my LJ friends list a deal.
