Mo is doing ok but still has a fever off and on and her leg started looking a bit worse. They found out that she has a staph infection, MRSA I think, that cats can't get by themselves and would have to get from human contact of some sort. Since, Mo at home wasn't around anyone with an infection or an immune imbalance it is likely she got it in the hospital :(
They needed to go into the leg again, remove the infected and dead tissue and close her up, and they now have her on an antibiotic that is specific for this infection. The surgeon said that she would be doing this surgery at no charge, so that is something, though we still have a huge bill coming up that is making me worried.
She did fine in surgery and is waking up and they will be keeping her overnight to verify everything looks good. I should be able to bring her home tomorrow.
Hopefully the directors of the hospital will get back to Alex soon so I know what to do when I pick her up. I miss my kitty and want her well.
And after 3 surgeries, 3 seperate hospital stays, and at least 9 days in the ICU she has had enough too.
Let's hope.
