so many dos and don'ts

Ok,
So there is such a long list of dos and don'ts for pregnant women, from what you can eat to what you can and cant do that it is driving me crazy and starting to annoy Alex.
For the food, I have most of that settled as I am ok with most of the don'ts and have talked to my doctor about the ones I am having a hard time with and she is ok with those in moderation.
I am fine with most of the meds I can and can not take as I have not needed much other than for back aches, constipation, and heartburn. And my doctor is keeping up with me on what I am taking and I always check with her before I take anything I don't know is approved.
But on to physical stuff I am starting to get annoyed.
I know I can lift what I normally lift at work, as long as I don't feel like I am straining myself or nothing hurts when I do it. So working with the kids and pushing them around in wheelchairs etc is still fine as my body is used to doing it.

But there is a whole list of things that I am finding out that I should not do that is driving me and Alex crazy as it makes me feel and sound lazy.

Such as: I should not garden because digging in the dirt could lead me to getting toxoplasmia something since we have cats that pee and poop all over our yard and other animals that do things too.
Is this really true? Would gloves help with this or should I just not do it?

I should not be using most cleaning products because the chemicals in them could be absorbed into my skin and therefor into the baby.
I have already cleaned and I understand not using things with strong fumes as they could make me pass out, but if I wear gloves to clean shouldn't I be ok?
Is there anything I should definitely not use? is there anything that is ok to clean with?

I have to be cautious of the cats. I already do not do the kitty litter, no matter what. And we got all natural flea prevention that is termed safe once dry. But is there anything else I should look out for?

What are the tried and true dos and don'ts for those of you who have gone through all this or know someone who has?

I do want to be cautious and protect our baby but I also don't want to overdo it and seem lazy, because I am not good at lazy.

Let me know.
