We'll be going downtown tomorrow during Hystory of Mexican Graphic class to see
José Clemente Orozco's murals. I'd be excited about it if I hadn't stared them until me eyes bled (okay, I exagerate, but) during my senior year of high school for a giant project in Art History. Oh well, it's better than class, I guess. And speaking of which, last class we saw a bit of his earliest work, all caricature and oh, it was really good! I mean, everyone knows he was a genious when talking about murals, but that's a whole new facet of him I didn't knew before.
I'm working on that '10 Doctor Who personal canon facts' meme but I've been distracted. And I have The Last King of Scotland on my hard drive and I really want to watch it tonight.
Oh, yeah, I finally saw last week's Heroes and wee, it was pretty good! This is old news, though, lol.
Who wants to see some photos of my graphite and charcoal drawings for school? They're large, they're black and white and they're nudes, yay!
Graphite on marquilla paper, 40x55 cms (which, according to the internetz, is 15.7x21.7 in).
I drew this one on a flat table while I was sitting up right and it ended up with wonky perspective, lol. It's perfectly fine if you look at it from the perpective I drew it in, though.
Charcoal on marquilla paper, 40x55 cms.
I'm the first to admit this is no master piece, but the bitch of my teacher gave me a six out of ten for this one. I mean, really, I should've gotten at least an eight, damnit! I ended up covered in fucking charcoal for this one! *hates charcoal with a passion* (baaaah, wonky weird-ass hand but I'M TIRED of looking at it already).
I got the original photographs form deviantart.com so if you happen to be the photographer, well... Know that I digged your work and that I'm totally not getting any profit, (or good grades, for that matter) or something.
