It's done! Wow, it's been such a long, but satisfying time writing this. It might have started as a gift, but I ended up writing this as a way to come to terms with the movie's ending. Seeing that I no longer want to hurt someone over it, I rather think it worked, lol.

Aw, thank you so much! I just refused to belive Elizabeth would sit around and wait for Will like a proper lady - and I'm especially fond of the idea of her as The Empress' Captain.

I'd like to think most of the crew (including both Jack and Barbossa) are, and are regretting it. :)

Um, you do realize this is canon, right? Like, completely utterly perfect canon, except better than the twins could do it. *loves*

What a lovely story! I like how in this situation they found ways to keep in touch, and that Will could be there for his son's birth. I also liked Elizabeth's meeting with Calypso and all of them finding the Fountain of Youth. Very well done!

Hee, I just couldn't accept the idea of the eternal wait - if they're not able to be together they at least should have the right to move on. BUT, that doesn't do for interesting storytelling, so XD

Thank you!

It doesn’t keep her from going knee-deep into the water and kicking around, cursing the sea until her temper finally subsides. By then, she’s wet all over and she has sand on most of her body, but she feels a little better.

This has to be my favorite part - it captures the old Elizabeth who wants to throw a tantrum just every so often, but shows she's also capable of learning and patience.

I agree with the other commenter - this has to be one of the best post-AWE fics I've read. You don't have to have major angst and super-seriousness for it to be "deep" and this shows that. Well done indeed.

I'm so glad someone pointed at that particular part - I do think it represents the way I see Elizabeth. :)

Thank you so much, your comment made me smile big time.
