You know, the fact that I watched SPN on Friday and had had no real enthusiams to post about it says a lot about the way I feel about this episode, doesn't it?
Supernatural 2x16 - Roadkill: My overall impression? Meh. I didn't figure out Molly was dead until the boys were driving her to her husband's house, so most of the episode went by with me thinking 'Oh God what crawled up Sam's ass and died to make him that angsty?' So yeah, the episode was much better (and smarter) after the final revelation, but still. And the whole 'going into the light/sunrise' was cheestastic as hell.
So, from Molly's POV, this episode could've fitted in S1. It felt like S1, all through it, and while that's not a bad thing, it feels as if it doesn't fit with the rest of S2. Tricia Helfer was awesome, though, although I've never seen BSG so I've nothing to compare her performance with. The whole 'Thank God' 'You can call me Dean' exchange was WIN, though. *g*
Okay, about the Director's Cuts: Now, THOSE are my boys, snarky and playful and sarcastic and wonderful! *g* After finding out Sam would do the nasty with one of Lex's homicidal wives, and after seeing the cheesy promo for next episode, I went kinda blah about it, I must admit, but then I saw the DC and now friday can't come too soon!! I'm sooo excited about. Rock Paper Scissors! Dean geeking out on werewolves! NAKED SAM OMG! *flails around*
The Black Donnellys:. I ♥ Kevin. Jenny's giving me a headdache. So is Jimmy. I want to alternately hug and be repulsed by Tommy. Sean's like, never waking up, or what? Axes are neat. So is Mafia talk inside of churches like in The Godfather. And I think that's it. I'm liking it a lot so far, yes, but other parts of this show are making me really confused. *scratches head* But basically, I just miss the fast-paced quality of the pilot. *shrug*
I rode a bycicle today for the first time in like, two or three years. o_O It was wicked nice and I might give up my 'waking up late' Sundays to go again. I also saw The Good Shepherd and it was quite good. I liked the fact that the main character is not either charismatic nor interesting and is actually kinda bland. And dreadfully smart. Man, Matt Damon is a fine good actor.
Somone dumped a body behind the train's tracks five minutes away from my home today. o_O That's quite scary.
