RA training...was surprisingly good!

I really had a fun time during RA training. I met so many new people, and have a lot of new friends now. I'm mostly surprised at myself and how much I opened up. Everyone who knows me knows that I'm usually the quiet one, but I just reached a point this week where I really don't care about making a fool out of myself and having a good time. I'm really glad that I decided to even consider being an RA...I mean, there is a lot of training involved, and there's a lot of stuff that we just can't really be trained for, but at least I know now what it's all about. I have to admit that at first I was doing it to save money, but I'd really like to do it now so that I can help people. Now that I know that I can be open with others, I feel more confident in helping them out when they may need it. I had to do a community service thing where we had to pick tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and squash, wash them off, pack them up, and now they're going to get shipped out to homeless shelters and stuff. I felt so good afterwards. Just knowing that I might make a difference in someone else's life is so rewarding. I REALLY want to be a part of the Community Service Club! Because not only will I be helping other people, I'll be having fun doing it too. I really need to find out about all of that I guess. Anyways, just wanted to update my journal and let everyone know that I'm having fun being back at school, and I hope the fun continues throughout the year :) Ciao my loves!
