So the thing that is most interesting in my life is I have started a new exercise/diet program.
Bought the book "New Rules for Lifting for Women". Has a six month schedule of lifting. I've been doing it for about 6 weeks. I really like it. Haven't lost any weight yet, but I think it's because I have been gaining muscle. I have already increased from a 80 pound squat/deadlift to 110. I also have switched from steady state cardio to HIIT (High intensity interval training). Man those kick my butt.
Having a gym at work has made it MUCH easier to get exercise in. I've been going 4-5 days a week. The only problem I have with the gym is that that don't have barbells and the dumbbells only go to 60 pounds. Given that I am using the 55 pounds currently for the deadlifts, it won't be much longer before I have outgrown those weights. What a problem to have! ;) So I am keeping my YMCA membership so I can use their weight room also, which I have been doing for squats since squats with dumbbells suck.
The work gym does have weight machines, but the cool thing about the program I am doing is you do moves that use multiple muscle groups at once so it's much much quicker than using all the different machines.
Anyways - it will be interesting to see what happens over the 5 months or so.
