Favorite Pokemon By Type
I saw Squeedge's journal doing this, and I thought it was a really good idea! I'm also always spacing on my favorites when people directly ask me, so this will be good to have on hand. Plus it should help with inspiration when I want to draw Pokemon related things.
I included 5 favorites per type. They also aren't in any specific order, I just tried to arrange them so the sprites didn't look too wonky.
Also, HOLY SHIT this took forever and a day. D: I underestimated how much time it would take before starting ffff.
Fire:
Grumpig
Simisear
(All evo's of Cyndaquil actually!)
Charmander, Numel, Acanine, Shiny Ponyta, and Typhlosion
Extra info: I LOVE Typhlosion and all of his previous evo's. Hands down my favorite starter, and one of my top favorite pokemon in all forms.
Water:
Politoed
Blastoise, Seadra, Slowpoke, Vaporeon, and Suicune
Extra info: I actually used to really dislike Vaporeon and Suicune when I was younger, but over the past couple of years they've grown on me and turned into new favorites.
Grass:
Whimsicott Deerling
Bayleef, Bellossom, Carnivine, Shaymin, and Leafeon
Normal:
Audino Minccinno Girafarig
Skitty, Linoone, Shiny Furret, Shiny Kecleon, and Lopunny
Extra info: Kecleon is also cute in both shiny and non-shiny forms, and its kinda a tie between Buneary and its evo~
Electric:
Elektross
Jolteon, Shinx, Mareep, Electrike, and Raichu
Extra info: I love all the evo's of Shinx and of Mareep, I just figured it'd be redundant to repeat them haha.
Bug:

Wurmple Paras
Butterfree, Paras, Mothim, Wurmple, and Scizor
Ground:
Drilbur Sandile
Phanpy
Sandshrew, Golem, Marowak, Trapinch, and Shiny Gliscor
Extra info: Sandshrew is another big favorite of mine, so much so that when I was younger and would envision myself as a Pokemon Trainer I'd think of carrying around a sandshrew in my arms during my travels. |D; Don't make fun of meee.
Flying:

Pidgeot, Golbat, Togetic, Aerodactyl, and Gligar
Extra info: Yes yes, I know that Gligar is a flying type that can't actually fly, but I love him anyway. ;^;

Shiny Croagunk, Heracross, Toxicroak, Lucario, and Gallade
Extra info: This was kinda hard to pick 5 of, so Croagunk and Toxicroak are kinda sorta repeats. I love both forms though, as well as their shiny forms, so it works. They're also some of my favorite Poison types.
Ghost:

Shedinja, Shiny Haunter, Banette, Dusknoir, and Drifblim
Dark:
Zweilous
Zoroark
Shiny Poochyena, Sneasel, Shiny Umbreon, Sharpedo, and Stunky
Extra info: Poochyena is adorable even when not shiny. <3 It's also my poke'sona

Mew, Azelf, Hypno, Lugia, and Grumpig
Extra info: Mew is good in both shiny and non-shiny forms, and thankfully I managed to get a regular one at the last event. I also have a shiny Hypno in game. 8)

Dratini, Latias, Shiny Latios, Shiny Flygon, and Rayquaza
Ice:
Cubchoo
Glaceon, Spheal, Articuno, Swinub, and Lapras
Extra info: I like Glaceon in both shiny and non-shiny forms, and swinub is one of the cutest things everrr. *w*
