Whee. Webserverish things now on this computer!

I am taking a break from personal projects to begin working on the computer I am donating to the art council. I have removed all the obviously-not-suited-for-gallery-playlists music. I have removed all my games and documents and various fun things, set up passworded admin account, and have successfully installed Apache 2 and Joomla stuff with the help of a lovely tutorial video.

No, I've not become a raving Joomla fanatic as such, BUT, I am getting familiar with it for my website, and it, with some addons, will do *exactly* what we want this computer to do for gallery guests: Let them look at content easily. Without being able to alter it. Well, unless they can guess my admin password stuff.

Anyways, it went fairly smoothly. For this of course, I am NOT worried about designing some new template, I found a nice free general use one that I think will do nicely for an art gallery.

Basically, hopefully, we'll have articles by and about members and things that visitors to the gallery can, if they so desire, peruse. It won't be connected to the internet at all, just will be a little multimedia center in the middle of the gallery =)

(And it was all my idea, so I get to be the one to figure out how to get it off the ground. Heh.)
